(152 items)
Added some old Coca-Cola clothing to my collection recently. A 1930's cloth beanie, and a set of 3 aprons from the 40's-50's. Both transactions were initially eBay bid auctions, which sellers were kind enough to revise to BIN after agreed upon price. I brought home all 4 pieces for right around a c-note total. Two of the aprons were miniature, described by seller as salesman samples. TGBWC thinks maybe they were special made for a child of a company employee. I tested this theory by asking my daughter to strike her best Coca-Cola salesgirl pose, and she was kind enough to play along (bless her heart! :). It made for a cute outfit and is sized correctly. I carefully tacked the items up for display in the corner by my Standard Ice, until I can figure out a better way and/or place to show them off.
Very cool items Dave, nicely displayed too! Nice to see the little "NoBucks" supporting her Dad's passion!!Very cute!
Thanks Bernie! The kids do put up with my Coca-Cola collecting passion... except they call it Daddy's Obsession! :)
I love it Dave! Certainly adds nice splash to the wall behind that cooler.
Thank you Perry! This was something different, and I really wasn't sure how to display. I was thinking about hanging them from a set of antique coat hooks, but that wouldn't allow spreading them out to show the images. So I just threw them up on the wall there with tacks (being careful not to tack through any fabric). Sometimes the simplest way works best.
Cool aprons Dave i have not seen these before, thanks for showing
Arf!! I agree, nice display!! If you decide you don't like them like that, you can always get frames like the ones for sports jerseys, they are a bit thicker for the added material after they are folded, but still look nice and will help in the preservation of these fine artifacts.
Hey Dave, I just had a great idea! Get one of those green clear glass heads/manikin and put the beanie on it. The Coca Cola green glass against the red and white would be perfect! I have given this a lot of thought.
