My dad had this. I don't know where he got it. Most likely a garage sale.

This is a fake item. The make old advertisments and put them on temperture gauges made of porecelein to make feel old. I can tell by the shape and just seeing it before that this is a fantasy item.

This is made of Tin. Not porcelain. Just an FYI.

Are you sure, when I saw the exact same repro's, they were porcelain.
    5. faithbyheart, 14 years ago
Yes I am sure it is tin, or metal. It is not porcelain. It has scratches and on the back you can tell it is metal. How do you tell if it is a reproduction? It has all the same info saying it is licenced by Coca Cola. Either way neat conversation piece.

You can tell because they never made a thermometer that has the sublect of the 50th aniversery of coke, (1886-1936) If this were to be real, it would be from 1936, and would contain a differant image. And the license from coke makes it a 100% repro, they never did that on thermometers like that.
