One of Rick Griffin's many masterpieces, Morning Papa, as it's known, advertised three nights of shows at the Avalon Ballroom in October of 1967. Headliner was Quicksilver Messenger Service, with support from the Sons of Champlin and Taj Mahal. Resembling the funnies section of a Sunday newspaper, the poster includes and appearance by a slightly ratty Mickey Mouse, Griffin's Murphy character from "Surfer" magazine, and the back of a pack of Camel cigarettes.
