Water Clark played in US Open these years, he and Alex were paid by Wright & Diston to use there golf clubs during these years, and were brought to Boston to play on this course. This course Alston Golf Club and Wright's company both were in Boston Ma. My wife's great grandfather was the head accountant for Wright and Diston for 30 years and took this picture.
Now Alex Findley built the first course in the USA in 1880 he is know as the father of USA golf.
