Today. . I received a very large - iron hot air balloon chandelier - which was left to deteriorate a bit. . it's old, I believe, and a little unapreciated but I actually love it the way it is. . . and wish I could somehow incorporate it into my home.
I have looked it up - only online. . . and found only a couple of smaller or similar ones. This one, which probably weighs more than me, measures nearly 56" long - and is about 30" wide . . . It is definately a monster. It was painted . . and still has some of it on it.
any ideas of the maker. French or Italian. After looking around the internet I ran across this one -

So I think the one I have is French 1920 - 30's

I just love it and can't wait to find out more information. I would love to buy one, just suppose is very expensive :p. I would say because of the colors is more Italian but the design is more french. I would try to do some research myself :)
Definitely French. It seems that since the first public demonstration by Montgolfier brothers in France has been a desired decorative item. I could not find any reference about them related with Italy.
It seems you could have a very expensive piece when restored. Check this:
