A little beauty!! This one is not big at all. It just measures 10,5 cm in hight. Typical of Salto. I must admit my heart gave a little jump when I discovered this beauty I am proud to own.
Enjoy your weekend.
Belive it or not I found this at a flea marked. dare not tell how much I paid.
Saltos work is very easy to spot, but also very rare.
Congratulations on a fabulous find!
Browns?
I see that I should have taken this photo out doors maybe. Yes it is brown.
Thank you!!
I haven't seen anything quite like it, Thanks for sharing this special piece.
Wishing you a Happy New Year filled with other wonderful finds!
This is an extremely lucky find! Here you see quite a lot of Salto around, but not very often on flea markets, mainly at auctions and in antiques stores (and always at exorbitant prices)! The glaze is called 'Sung glaze' and was used a lot at Royal Copenhagen by Salto and others. Congratulations!
Thank you Jensen, following you!
you're really lucky lass, salto is one my to find list for years allready.
i'm jealous
stunning!!!
I have looked it up in a list of stoneware from Royal Copenhagen and found that this particular number (21473) was produced for the first time in May 1957!
Thankyou so much!
Hi, I had a question about a PORSGRUND DRINKING BEAKER NORWAY that you commented on 4 years ago. But, I'm new and couldn't figure out where to post general comment. You said "This is from the Nordic series. The green and the blue anchor together was especially used on the Nordic pieces. 1906 - 1911"
I was given the complete set w/ jug. It has the blue and green anchor and OLD NORWAY. Could you guess the date and value?
Hi, sorry I have taken some time to get back to you. I myself will reserve myself from putting a price on your items. However I,ll send you this link to an auction house you will help you. Hope that is ok. https://www.blomqvist.no/eng/
