Recently purchased an entire collection of vintage toy gun holsters, likely from the '40's-50's. These have many applied details, and would never pass any type of modern standards on children's toys for safety, but they sure are cool looking!!!
I used to have one myself, back in the 50's. Great find.
Yeah, these take me back to the 60's when I was playing "Sure-riff"! :D
You just can't beat a 2 gun rig. LOVE EM'! Jimbo
Thank-you jim, bruce,& packrat for the nice comments!
Thank-you all for the likes & loves!!
Now all you need it some cap pistols and you'll have all the kids in the neighborhood wanting to play "Cowboys". Thanks for sharing these, they're great.
Thank-you bellin &kerry, & you're right kerry, they would!
YeeeeHaaaw! I love'em Bernie! These are really something and speak to the period of time when the world was a little simpler.
Thanks Perry, I love the detail and effort that went into making them!
Bernie, don't know if you know, but I believe the MFG of photos #1 and 4 are "Pony Boy" if you go to a garage sale and find the cap pistols. They (the gun) are marked under the cylinder opening(where the caps went)and will be usually silver in color, with a star on the handle.
I'm sure if I am wrong, someone will chime in and tell us, but 90% sure.
Kerry
I have a collection of cap pistols. Most are in very good condition. Only have a few holsters... they are hard to come by. I am sure they took some abuse and the pistols fared better. Would love to come across some like these!
Thanks Kerry & vintage1965, for the nice comments and advice!

Thank -you RonM, Hedge, ttom, collector,pw-collector for the love!!

Merry Christmas to the entire" CW" collecting fraternity!!
Thanks Phil, I never had any toy guns growing up either, but we moved to the farm in 1970, and my parents did'nt mind me walking around with a real gun @ 10-11 years old! Musta been a mature kid!!
Brings back wonderful memories!....:-)
Thank-you inky for the nice comment!
Still have these too Phil, was just going to e-bay them, but have'nt brought myself to parting with them! Thinking how cool they would look in a nice shadow box!
