This is quite a large copper jardiniere with what I believe to be English influence with the 6 panels of oak leaves and 6 cobochons. The cobochons are separate added pieces each one attached by 3 threaded bolts which protrude the main structure and have those european sloted nuts securing them. It measures from 11 inches across the bottom and 11 inches high to 17 and 1/2 inches at the widest point near the top. It has that beautiful untouched patina of old copper circa 1890-1910 in my opinion. I believe the flat base is separate, may actually be brass, and is joined at the large bottom rim to the upper panels. It is hard for me to determine, not having much experience with construction of these pieces, if there are six panels joined together. The inside shows no signs of a joint except for the indentation which outlines the panels on the outside. Also, the top piece, slanting in towards the centre, shows no seams at all, not even equivalent to the panel markings on the inside or outside. Therefore, I assume, that the entire top is one piece, with the oak leaf panels hammered out prior to the bottom being added, and the cobochons then put in place after.
I would be greatly indebted to anyone enlightening me as to the possible originator of this piece. .
That is a spectacular piece. Without a craftsman's mark, I'm not expert enough to identify it, but just wanted to chime in that I'm in love with your beautiful vase or jardiniere.

Very nice, indeed. I wouldn't restrict attribution to Britain. What are the cabochons made of? Are they just copper, but with a different patina? Ceramic/Ruskins? The cabochons may provide the best clues as to its origin/manufacture.
Also, is the bottom actually blue in color?
The cabochons are fashioned out of one solid piece of copper and then patinated or painted to detail the feature. The base is more black in colour over brass.
