    Picked it up at an auction . I did not pay much.I saw it in a estate box and it looked interesting and so, I left an absentee bid .
    The marks as far as I can tell , look perhaps Chinese at a second look .
    Brown clay which has been fired. Strange Script or writing on 1 side the other side has a branch and fruit .In a way it looks like it has Egyptian or Arabic features.
    Other than that I have no idea what it is.
    Any help would be appreciated.

      Yixing clayteapot.After research I believe it is called a teapot made from purple clay from the Yixing district of China the purple clay only occurs in 1 place in China . After a bit of research I figured out who the artist is and how and why the pots were made that way. And it is a significant pot.
