    I have not been able to find any information on this spear point. None of the points are this large. I have been told that it may be a ceremonial point. I purchased it at a estate sale many years ago. It is very thin

      I do not know much about arrowheads -- just that the Clovis tribe had large ones similar to this. Take a look online and see what you think. (just delete this comment if I am way off)

      I don't like using this word, but awesome! Can't imagine all that work for 1 spear toss. I also agree that it might be ceremonial or possible a knife.

      Trunkman that point above is corner notched and Clovis points have no notches.
      Looks like a Gray Ghost to me (corner notch dovetail style knapping) but it might be an authentic point worth thousands? You can send it to a reputable authenticator or wait for a big show in your area. Beautiful point!

      I have one almost identical to yours see my posts .I can tell you more about the one I have and where I found it and the native people who lived in that area.
