This kind of jewelry often pass by here in my country Stillwater. It has a specific name but I don't know it at the moment. I will pay attention and when I see one and the name I will let you know.
Just past a bracelet of the same kind of jewelry here in a national site!
I figured it out a little bit ago actually, it took me a while but I discovered that this type of jewelry was made in Finland in the 60's and 70's. I love the fact that its bronze too, not brass. Did you see the other one I posted? Its much better than this!
If you ever see this stuff for a cheap price, don't pass it up! Some of it can be fairly valuable, worth in the low hundreds, and its the kind of thing that can slip through the cracks and be priced cheaply, since the marks are hard to find or not even there at all sometimes
I am really partial to it, and I think I will hang on to these piece for my collection. I just love bronze!
Thank you Agram, I hope your day is well
This is one of his iconic “Renmoosblüte” or reindeer moss pieces and was produced by Finnish firm Valo Koru.
Thank you Vertraio! I knew about the reindeer moss but I did not know about Valo Koru or that he worked under them. I have another piece of this Finnish modernist bronze that I posted along with this one, would you mind taking a look to see if you recognize anything about it?
Hoi Stillwater, here in my country this kind of jewelry is very modest in price!
That's what I want to let you know.
If they are larger, attractive pieces, I've seen them on eBay go for 100-200, sometimes a little more
Here they are less cheap so there is at this moment a bracelet and earrings in an auction but I think they are to be selled for more less than 100.
Hey I just saw your necklace. It's so beautiful!
I have a small brooch which I now know is also from Valo Koru. Mine is very small and not so nice, but its also with the reindeer moss-pattern. So nice to find this kind of information!
Thanks a lot
Stillwater, just saw this. Really nice.
I have several Finnish bronze bracelets, one signed just Finland Bronze and the other by Sarpaneva. I've sold various pieces over the years. They're very desirable collectibles. I had a different reindeer moss pendant--not as big as yours--sort of a long shape.
Did you see the other Finnish bronze necklace I have on here? Its much nicer than this one, but its unsigned. I'm thinking it COULD be a Sarpaneva, but I'm not sure. Its on my page, would you take a look?
I love the organic design of this pendant:)
Hannu Ikonen.

Efesgirl, yeah I know that they are, I've had a few of them over the years. I have this REALLY neat unsigned one that I believe is be Pentti Sarpaneva. Its in my private collection because I think its just so cool
