Here we go again folks, its time for another installment of my mini-series "Forgotten America."
This time we are at a very old abandoned silver mine in Nevada. This country is so desolate, I cannot imagine living here. No, I did not crawl into the mine. Knowing my luck, the mine would cave in, or be full of rattlesnakes and there would be a premature ending to the mini-series.
The last pic is yours truly risking life and limb in the desolate wilds of Western America to get those shots for my CW friends.
    Enjoy

      Manikin,
I am out in the desert exploring and taking photographs. The quad-runner is the only way to get around out here, most of the places I am looking for are very isolated.
Thank you very much for your kind words.

Terrific series! Camping? Don't worry you are tougher than any old rattlesnake.

      AmberRose,
Thank you for the kind words and your vote of confidence.
Tough? I guess the words to the famous song by Bo Diddley describe it best.
"I walked 47 miles of barbed wire,
Used a cobra snake for a neck tie.
Got a brand new house on the roadside,
      Made out of rattlesnake hide"
      What else can I say?????

I love the ruins of the western desert in the US - used to live in far west Texas (where my family is from originally) and though it's pretty desolate, it still feels like home. Beautiful country. Let us know if you find any silver (or gold)!
