Now THIS is the kinda item that i use to LIVE for! Still do, problem is, this MONSTER is HUGE & HEAVY! &, the wife doesnt "appreciate" fine antiqities, like a man of "culture"like me. It came from "the storage" property we have north of town. This is a rare, cast iron U.S.& S. four lens traffic light was used in town & was set up to come on when the old streetcars would pass across the city streets. Circa 1920s . I might have to "bump" this restro. up on the list? Lets see, if i can have about 11-12 more childeren, then in about 15-18yrs. ill have enough people to knock-out the first page of the to-do list.

Nice signal light. I removed one of these from a Railroad bridge about thirty years ago. The bridge was a combination RR and road, but the signal light was facing the track approach.

I sold it quite a few years ago to a Railroad signal collector from Ohio. It had the silver reflectors inside, but all of the lenses were broken. It had two mounting brackets on the back that mounted to a pole with a "U" clamp type device.

railnsail, mines missing one of the mounting brackets, but i do have the rest of the hardware & lens . I thought about using the one bracket (on top) & letting it "hang" , but its so heavy,i dont know.

I told my wife that i needed more time to work on these projects, do you know what she said gargoyle? QUIT BRINGING MORE CRAP HOME! can you believe that, the nerve of her!

If you want to hang it on a pole you can jury rig a heavy duty truck exaust muffler calmp for the bottom. A 5" clamp may do the trick.

The main problem railnsail is i dont even have the "signal" side of the bracket. Just the opening & two bolt holes.
