Here we have a newly arrived, pretty little pair of white opalescent Kralik vases with pink spots, 7 1/4" tall. Knowing Czechman's fondness for pink and his threat to light a fire under me, I thought I should probably post them ... I hope you like them!
Thank you, Sean!
Thank you Obscurities! I noticed today that I seem to be doing quite well for pairs at the moment. I rather like them too ...
Thank you Czechman. Angelic is just the right word! If I have time tomorrow, there might be a piece of Rindskopf .... but not pink.
And thank you Vetraio50!
Jealous much!! So pretty!!
Thank you Slave-to-glass. They are pretty - even more so in real life as they are ribbed inside, which gives a rippled effect in the light.
Thank you, Inky, Austro and Scandi!
Thank you, LoetzDance!
Your vases are Rinskopf not Kralik!
Thank you manddmoir and Mac63!
As for my attributions - well we all know I get them more wrong than right! However, this shape and decor is on Kralik-glass.com as Kralik, so I'll let you experts fight it out!
Hi Gary - all good just stupidly busy at work!
Londonloetzlearner - do you refer to the so-called Kralik 'colouredspot' decor which shows a shape similar to your vases but has a much broader stem and lacks the rim which is sometimes' rough' to take a silver collar or is there another Kralik example that you refer to?
Well, that's me told. I know when to give up - I'm obviously even more wrong than usual! I shall retire from the field while I still have the last shreds of my dignity - grace being beyond me.
Well, Scandi, it seems that I dig in with happy ignorance right up until the mine explodes in my face! That seems to happen quite a lot, but I'm hoping eventually I might learn something .... Or maybe get one right! ; )
Thank you, Obscurities!
How could you not like even love them!!!!... with their lovely elegant shape and delicate colouring, they are...exquisite!....:-)
I was hoping to learn from 'Obscurities' and 'czechman' what the evidence was for these being 'most certainly Kralik' and not Rinskopf but things have gone very quiet since my posting???
I used a second 'user name' as access could not be gained with the original one. No real evidence for Kralik then, only reference to a 'site' that shows a similar shape and a different decor. I'll leave it there! Research can only move forward with the opportunity for informed discussion and evidence presented freely for all to consider - surely an aim of a forum such as this? An open mind and a little humility go a long way
Thanks Al.
And thank you Deanteaks and LoetzBuddies.
