This doll, as I was told, was made by a company that you would send a baby's hair to and they would create the doll with the hair. It was made with either my grandfather or great-grandfather's hair, not sure which, but if it was my grandfather's hair, it would be well over 100 years old! Can anybody tell me anything about it? It has no markings that I can find.

I put this under the bisque dolls category, but not sure if that's correct.

I'm not sure why the pics aren't there, but if I click on the box, the pics pop up. Do I need to do something differently?

I'm leaning towards a Jumeau or Simon & Halbig. She is bisque, and in wonderful shape! The dress is amazing. I'm almost sure she is marked. It's either under the hair, or on the shoulder plate. It most likely will have a fraction number (7/8 example) followed by a mold number, then a symbol or initials. The mold number is important to identify the doll, the fraction is the size of the doll.

If you are on ebay go to the "doll forum" under community. They will know just by looking at her. If you're not on ebay it's easy to regisiter.

I'm not sure if anyone will see this, but I'm wondering what the legs on this doll are made of? It's hard to figure out. It looks unusual though. I have a few bisque head dolls and they have leather, wooden, or composition bodies/limbs. Just wondering!
