I have come into possession of this interesting cane or walking stick. I am no expert, but the head appears to be gold or gold plated, very little tarnish for being over 100 years old.
Here is what is says:
"Presented To Rev. James Todd D. D. by Government of Scots Charitable Society, Boston, 1907, Dec. 31st"
I have not had time to research this, but thought I would post it now anyway.
