Wow another Mod stylish piece! I did the long arm between the crowded thrift move on this one. I haven't been able to find the stats on this one yet, but he's a bully looking fella!
I tried to get a fancy picture with my other recent Mod find but I don't have Sean's touch...
The funny thing is that I could believe how crowded the thrift was...until I got to the register and found out that everything was half price! I paid for him with change (whoop whoop!)
Thanks V!!
reminds me so much of the swedish Dala horses! neato.
Thank you for the loves, no bull. (couldnt help myself)
Hunter, totally agree, thought that myself.
I kept staring at this for days and finally figured out why. The figurine has flowers which reminded me of a favorite childhood story entitled: "The Story of Ferdinand." Written in 1936, it's a famous story of a bull who would rather smell flowers than fight in bullfights. Could it be this Mod Bull is based on the story?
Kinda reminds me of the things Aldo Londi did for Bitossi in the 1950's and 60's (its not his though). I wonder if its Spanish or Italian? The bull is a very common motif in those countries. I'm leaning towards Italian though
I know that story! I read it as a kid!
