mikielikes, this one is for you. This Loco Headlamp has sort of a kinship with your Gunderson Process device. The Pyle headlamp is from the 1930's and came from the DL&W RR. Back in the 1920's when Gunderson was trying to sell his apparatus to the Railroads, the RR's were concerned about how they would provide electricity to the machine. Gunderson's answer was simple he told them they could use the steam powered generator that powered the headlight on the Loco.

How can you determine the history of a Pyle national headlight
    3. railnsail, 10 years ago
Depending on the headlight, most Pyle lamps have a data plate which gives a serial number including a set of RR initials. The RR initials along with the illuminated locomotive numbers on the side make it pretty easy to trace the loco. If the loco numbers are not present, but the brass plate is, the serial number combined with the style of lamp can give you a pretty good approximate date.

The road # is 1320 on the brass name plate it looks like RR record no 200125AHH there's a forum on line with a buch of theories. If you can help I would really appreciate it.I was told by the person I bought it from that there father in law worked for Erie Lackawanna back in the day and saved it from the scrap pile because the # was the same as his house #.His wife put it in the garage for next 55 + yrs
