Can anyone give me some idea as to the origins and/or maker of this lamp. The only marking I can find is the number "824" on the base. I cant find a lamp quite like it anywhere. Additionally, I seem to find lots of lamps with "numbers" - does the number on these lamps mean anything to help identify the maker of the lamp. Any assistance, would be appreciated. Thanks.
Not sure if you're still on here and I need to look closely when I get home, but I think I have this lamp (or a very similar one), too. I honestly don't know much about it, but this caught my eye.
The shade shape, colors, and the base are the same, but the designs differ. My lamp has much more intricate metal work in the top panes. I am not sure if different designs or if yours had the details removed, but they're pretty close. I'll take a pic and check for markings when I see it again.
I have a lamp with a lot of similarities, mine is a Bradly and Hubbard. Mine is marked in the top crown with a elongated triangle mark. You can see mine here,

That's a beautiful lamp, Rocker! It's definitely similar. What do you mean by the top crown? I was trying to locate some kind of marking, but I couldn't see anything apparent.
I posted mine up here, if you wanna see it. Although, the pics came in sideways and I'm not sure how to fix them. http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/160217-a-slag-glass-lamp-with-roman-theme?in=user
