This is a "found" item from my local swap shop (i.e. dump store) that no one seems able to identify. It is 6ft long and 10 inches wide. It seems too "finished" to be a farm item. Do you put plants on it? Help!! Karin
16 very skinny, long-legged kids could sit - straddling it - which would make it a very economical bench for a strange family.
nice try ho2, but it's used to store gas pump signs on........(well, thats what i'de use it for.)
A bed for skinny husband who has had too much to drink!...:-)
My guess would be sometype of fancy hay feeder ......for goats or horses that someone made ....but im just guessing.
italiangirl, your answer seems WAY to practical.
darn it eye, i was just going to say that!
a magazine rack for an 8-holer outhouse?!!
Actually, I've made similar "print bins" for artists to put what in?
Why is it that I'm wary of the replies?
you should be blunderbuss! That answer made so much sense that were banning you off of this post. All in favor, say EYE.........4beauty that is .
im sorry inthelocks for my companion's warped sense's of humor. This is not typical of most of the (stuffier) members. In the future well try to keep the sarcastic, immature, juvenile, out there in left field comments STRICTLY to your posts.
I have to go "in left field comments"? I qualify. I'm going to be a fireman when I grow up. Actually 66, act 33 & feel 99.
It still is what it is, for prints papers etc.
so everyone is clueless on this item...but thanks for bring a little levity into my day!
thank you inthelox - for bringing some levity to our day.
i actually need a magazine rack this size for my bathroom, but the whole room isn't much more than 5' x 4'. oh well, i guess i'll just have to keep reaching up high on the stack. i've already read the ones on the bottom anyways...
I'm going to say it again, it's what artists call a print rack. I've made probably 50 folding models. Mine r usually about 24" wide so this was probably made special for some type of thin sheet like samples so people could thumb-thru the samples.
I don't understand what the problem is unless everybody doesn't want to accept the simple explanation? They are even quite common & all you have to do is walk into an artist studio. Because of the length, this was probably made to display samples of another product. Veneers? These are usually made for a specific purpose & didn't arrive on a UFO.
gee whiz blunderbuss2! nothing like the mundane to tamp out all the fun...
I think this has been turned upside down. See, doesn't that make more sense.
