A collection of "Supreme's" memorabilia, pict#1 is a 1965 concert program guide, with pict# 2 showing the song selections (bottom left) & two of the selections in 45 R.P.M. formats "You Can't Hurry Love" (flip side) "Put Yourself In My Place". And "Noyhing But Heartaches" (flip side) "He Holds His Own", both on the my favorite label Motown. Pict#3is a compalation, (far right) June 1965 Ebony cover. (top far left) June 1967 cover of Jet mag. with a 7-page article. (top center) un-known source, color pict of them preforming "Nouthing But Heartaches" on a show called "Hullabaloo" (ill have to consult with Mani on that one!) . Pict#4 shows a pin-up for the boys in Co. A 3rd Bn., 8th Infantry stationed in Vietnam who hade requested pict.s of the Motown stars from Jet Mag. THOSE LADIES WERE LEGENDS!! ruled the A.M. airwaves at our house.
thank you vetraio for the luvn!
I am a real Soul/ Motown fan, this is great. Did you know Flo Ballard died in poverty.
does'nt that seem completely un-just, someone who brought that kind of love & happiness to million's of people. I know the promotors, agents, ect. took advantage of most of the singer/songwriter acts "back in the day" . Preformers found the solution for that in the last several decades, you would think that one of them who was influenced by there music would have helped out. Even if she had done/went down the wrong path.
Addition to the last comment:::: IM NOT SAYING FLO DID ANYTHING WRONG, IM JUST SAYING LATER PREFORMERS WHO ARE "SWIMMING" IN $$$ SHOULD HAVE HELPED .............NO MATTER WHAT THE SERCUMSTANCES WERE.
thank you czechman
