This is one of two that were bought for my sister in law, but she didn't like them. I just thought they were nice. Maybe not? Too Goth? The jet is facetted and the chain of this one is dark too.
Thought I'd put this one on a Martin Boyd vase to show it off.
I have a few pieces of costume jewellery that I've collected over the years. At markets you can come across interesting stuff, but these days I get beaten to the costume jewels. The sharks are out and when they smell blood it becomes a feeding frenzy. I tend to stay clear of it all.
Collecting can be hazardous to your health!
My sister was a huge collector of costume jewelry. She has an amazing collection. She feels the same as you do...sharks! No longer looking for the costume, shame as she really had an eye.
We girls are picky about our jewelry. Hopefully your SIL was gracious about declining your present.
Many thanks Bellin and to you too Amber. I forgave her! Jet is a bit dark, isn't it?
the sharks look for all kinds of things but jewellery does seem to whip them into a hysterical state!
whereas I am just a hunter looking for my prey>>>
Jet or French Jet?
Jet can be awesome. Might be scratchy??
Ni Marty! Please explain the difference between the two jets.
Jet Jackson and Joan Jett?
One is glass and t'other is mineral?
Correct Vet, French jet is Black glass when used to imitate real jet (Lignite) in jewellery.

So, they could be Czech glass?
Cool to the touch?
V, Agram posted a lot of info on jet. Let me see if I can find it.
Okay look at the link that I sent to her...
