A few years ago I acquired this table from an antique shop in VA. I would like to find out more about it and if I have any options to restore it without causing damage. I believe it is of asian origin.

Everything is solid & the knight chairs are very heavy.

The person I bought it from said it's been in his basement since the 80's and didn't seem to know much else about it other than it's old.

I'm looking forward to what you all have to say.

Wow, interesting. No marks I assume? Guessing (stressing guessing) that it is probably Thai and a nicer piece for export. Not super old maybe 70s up to now.
      Looking forward to others opinions.

Hi Amber, thanks for your feedback. I can't find any marks but doesn't go to say it doesn't have one. I'll do a more thorough check tonight to see if a marking may be under the game board. Bummer to hear it's not that old.

The chess set is from the Philippines, 20th century. I don't know about the table; it might not have been made for these pieces.
