Never seen one before, but my best guess is that it was produced by Louisville Stoneware Co. for KFC. Perhaps circa the 1980s or early 90s?

I have this same dispenser. Purchased it about 10 years ago and have tried to find more information about it ever since. I also purchased another KFC dispenser that is more ornate in the graphic design and ceramic design KFC "Lemonade" dispenser.
All I have gathered by the sellers, they were KFC store pieces that may have been given to "top KFC people or businesses" pr purchased as a promotional incentive to display in the KFC drive-in business. I do not believe either one of the two I own have been actually used. So, I too am looking for information about the same and what they might be worth today. Yes, it is Lousiville Stoneware Company for KFC, but there is nothing mentioned about it. Keep me posted.

Addendum...my dispensers came with a base and are mint condition. I saw two on a live auction site that sold within the past year complete and incomplete. I would check with Louisville Pottery Company for more information.

Thanks to all who have answered. I have previously contacted Louisville Stoneware and was told they have no record of this item in their history catalog.
I have contacted KFC but as of yet have not heard back.
If anyone ever comes across a base - please let me know. I have c

I have the exact same piece with the base sitting in my basement. Also curious to learn more about the history of this piece.

Moiraenh, about the KFC ice tea dispenser, do you remember what they went for at the live auction?
