I recently purchased this butter churn and have contacted three different antique "experts" and no one has been able to identify who made it. I contacted the Redwing collectors society and was told they do not believe it is a Redwing and all anyone could tell me was it's mid to late 1800's because its a salt glaze and that its a butter churn. There is a faint "5" towards the top and what appears to be a very small, approximately 1/4 inch letter of a "J" on the bottom of the churn but cant be 100% certain. It's measurements are 16.5 inches tall x 9.75 at the top and approx. 10.25 at the base. If anyone could help I would it would be greatly appreciated to know what exactly it is I have.
