My grandfather served in the Navy in the Pacific during WWII. He picked this up along with a few other souvenirs when his LST would stop and dock on the islands. He disabled it himself, the tip is missing and the bottom has a hole drilled in it. Both the shell and the cardboard case have japanese writing on them. He said it is from a Japanese fighter plane. Could this be valuable? I also cannot read Japanese and would love to find out what it says. Any info is welcomed and appreciated! Thanks for lookin!

Perhaps you could send pictures to that website. I bet they could fill in all the blanks!

Great piece real nice you should get him to write about it. Where and when he got it and how and have him sign it. My wife has an Uncle still alive that was in the navy and he is doing that to all the thing he picked up in the Pacific in WW II for his grandkids.
