    Hi there,

I'm trying to find more out about this button. It looks to be copper or brass colored and it has an engraved design. I'd like to learn if there's anything particularly special about this button (I think it's sort of neat) and it's age. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Could be a 'Coolie hat' (Asian peasant cap) or a parasol.

Thanks for the response. That's what the shape reminded me of. I haven't come across a button similar to this one.

This is a brass Button from the Victorian Era and the design is engine-chased. It was mostly likely worn on a thick wool cape or coat.
