      Looks like a dome top trunk early 1900's. A lot of them were made in basically the same form with the same parts by a variety of makers so without a label or something characteristic of a specialized manufacturer, you are going to be hard pressed to find out who made it. Needs a good cleaning, and it certainly has value, though not high. I believe every household should have at least one antique trunk -- so there you are! If there is some family history to it even better,

      dot 101: a great source of info is the 1902 and 1908 Sears catalogs-great illustrations and descripitions along with prices-the orginal catalogs are hard to come by but many good reproductions are available
