My mother in law passed this to me with a hand written note (hers) saying it is an' old hand blown glass napkin holder' ~ but I am a bit skeptical. I display it as an art glass piece. Size is approx 7.5 inches tall and 4.25 inches wide at widest part. Does anyone have an opinion as to what it is, when it was made and its value? All comments and opinions are appreciated.

Thank you Bellini68 and Manikin for the love comments. I love it too. I just can't imagine that it is really a napkin holder, can either of you?

it is a napkin holder...but for display...in the "old" times you would get your napkins folded at the table...but at the end of the table this would sit with napkins in it...but not to be used...just for looks...

Thanks rockstar1998! That makes sense because I would never consider putting paper napkins in it and using it on my kitchen counter...no way. My MIL had so much collectible and old glass and I got many incredible pieces from her but only after she passed, so no chance to ask her any questions about them. : (
About what time period do you think this would be? Any guesses on where this was made (she traveled extensively) or value?
