This is an original 1944 offset lithograph titled "Less Dangerous Than Careless Talk" from my private collection of WW II posters. It measures approximately 20" x 28" and is in "A" condition (original folds disappeared after linen backing)
This image of a green eyed Rattlesnake ready to strike was created as a reminder not to discuss troop movements, ship sailings, war equipment, and other government secret information that might endanger our troops during the war. This was one of many WW II posters that was from the "Loose Lips Sink Ships" collection and a great use of symbolism! One of the more striking images portrayed on War posters during the time.
