I have watched the site for a few months and thought it would be fun to add a piece from my collection to the Show & Tell. I have always referred to this form as a tulip vase. This one has six holes and was executed in the Phanomen 358 decor. It was made exclusively for the retailer E. Bakalowits in Vienna Austria ca 1901. The line drawing can be seen in Ricke Band 2, page 287, #85/3878.
Thank you for the kind comment!!!! I had never looked at the piece that way but definitely see what you mean. Take care!!! Chris
ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !
Thank you Frank!!!! Much appreciated coming from a true connoisseur!! Chris
Whoa! You didn't have this piece in your case at the Baltimore show...I'm speechless. Breath taking.
BTW - what are the dimensions?
The piece is 2.75"(h) X 8.5"(w). I have had this one for several years. My collection is limited to one example of each decor in each color produced. It seems to be the only way to have an inventory, LOL!!!! I'm guessing it will be a while before I find a more interesting form in PG358 so this one will stay at home for now. Chris
ps: Love the 2/450 you found. Amazing piece!!!!
Most beautiful!!!
What an amazing piece ! speachless......
This really is a stunning piece and it is perfectly documented. I got offered a very simmilar piece, a little higher but not that wide, in Vienna but it was far off my price expectations.
This is the most amazing Tulip vases I have ever seen, and the decor is incredible - definately the top of the top! If I start saving now I could probably afford one by the time I'm about 150 :| Wow!
Thank you!!!! Thank you!!!! The production records show it executed in PG358 but have no other number notations probably indicating it is one of one. If I come across another I'll make sure you have first shot at it!!!
As another CW Loetz-lover would say, "I'll get out my check book":)
I am not sure I can afford to even look at the pictures. LOL
Wow! What a beautiful piece. I would love to see your collection of "one example of each decor in each color produced." It has to be amazing.
Hello LoetzDance!!! Thank you!!! Those are the limitations of my collection, MANY holes to fill!!! Give or take 350 examples so far. Looking forward to sharing more!!!
Breathtaking!....:-)
awesome, more please...
