Several years ago I bought a Hubley #22 at a garage sale for $7. It was missing the cast iron engine/driver piece. Today I got another I purchased off Ebay for $16 that was missing two wheels and listed in error as a Tootsie Toy. After combineing the two I now have a pretty handsome sample of this car, and at a fraction of wht it is worth!

You did pretty well, but the best value comes from knowing you brought it back to it's original glory! I love fixing toys, such sweet satisfaction getting them working again (I usually play with clockwork).

The mixed material is the best part of this, I love the different textures of the two metals. Not something you see every day on these older toys.

Also, take your toys out into the sunshine for pictures, they will look so much better!
