    Here are 2-Vintage 1931 Original Police Prisoner Photos and I.D./Print Cards from New Jersey State Police (Hammonton, New Jersey).
    Both arrested by Troopers MacKinnon & Kopf on 8/4/1931 for the Crimes of Burglary & Safe Blowing.

      packrat-place,
      I found these at a garage sale some 20+/- years ago while visiting New Jersey.
      They were in a plastic bag with others of the same type and misc. police paperwork, such as old arrest reports. The family that had these must have known someone that worked in the P.D. back when.

      This was the first and last time I ever saw this type collection, I love them for the history part. I think you are correct that most were destroyed. What I think happened here was that the Detective that handled these cases brought them home with him and never returned them at his departure. They went with his estate and the family let them go?? My thoughts.
