The first is the Black Diamond near Buffalo pictured on 04/06/42. The engine 3 is LV 2089, and is a K-6-s model.
The second shows a LV freight t Niagara Falls, NY in the late 30s.
Then we see one of the engines that pulled the LV's John Wilkes. Pictured at Sayre, stripped of some of its streamlining, and relegated to yard and occasional helper work, this fine piece of machinery's days were numbered.
Lastly is pictured the LV's inspection engine #1, at Kingston, PA. Also known as "Dorothea" this interesting engine was scrapped during The War as an aid to the war effort.
