This is another of the lamps designed by Ricard for metalarte in the 1960s and 1970s.
I cannot but admiring its simplicity and the very inteligent effect of the darker stripe at the middle of the lamp. How he got it is very simple: the bottom part of the lamp is just like a bowl with a slightly wider part at the top whereas the top one fits jut on the wider part of it, so the darker stripe we see is the result of the light going through two layers of plastic. One can't appreciate that when the lamp is off, that's why I took this pic with the lamp on.
thanks for your loves, vet and Bellin!
But I try to keep my evil twin hidden...until I need her services.
LOL Amber!!!! I am reading your messages lamp after lamp in the order you wrote them... can't stop laughing!!!
Then the good Amber has accomplished her goal! Careful, October is evil Amber season. Heh heh heh...
Love the lamp nice simple design the strip when lit really finishes it off
Haha! Let's stop this evil Amber nonsense. Everybody here knows you have, as we say in Spain, a huge heart! (and my mum would say "big as a furniture store" LOL)
Thanks vlkma! I really love this lamp. I really think it one oh Ricard's best designs.
I don't know what you are talking about, I can be evil.

Don't tell the hubby about not being evil. I have a reputation to maintain ; )
