This is a very unusual Loetz decor. Oils spots with blue and black pulled leaf or wavy water decoration. 6.5 inches high.
In the Bakalowitz photo the shade in the center right is almost identical to my shade.

FWF, Now that's what I call a decoration...very nice!!!
JJZ : Thanks. Wish one of the Loetz Specialists out there could identify the P.G.
It has elements of Cytisus, and the "leaves" are reminiscent of one I found listed as PG 1/688;

Other than that it's a mystery to me? Great piece.
There was a whole series of lamp shades that had "unidentified phenomen genre" descriptors placed upon them. This may be one of them BUT I think I may have identified it as shape 85/3927 for Bakalowitz, listed as Phen Genre 3833, acording to Ricke. Frank I have sent you the photos of the decor at shown in Ricke and Cantz.
Thanks to my MAJOR MENTOR Mr. T for the photo of the Bakalowitz shades.
dasullywon : Thanks for the link. It certainly is very similar.
I'm curious. What's the diameter of the fitter?
cogito : the dia. of the fitter is 2 7/8 ths.
So the verdict is Bakalowitz, PG 3833? Another one for my list.
Yes, Bakalowitz, Vienna
Hello
Can you tell me where you found the reference photo
showing the eight Bakalowitz shades?
Is it a book? Is there a page number?
Thanks for sharing
The photo was sent to me after I posted my shade. I don't know where it came from.
