This is a 1930s Regal vendor which I picked up on Ebay a couple weeks ago. I stripped it down and restored it inside and out. What a great little machine! It works great with a penny. The mechanism is really smooth, it always amazes me that items this old can still work so well after all these years. The last photo shows it in the condition it was in when I got it, overall was pretty good already and some may say I shouldnt have messed with the original paint, but I like the way it came out. My kids will love the skittles too!

I have the exact same one, but blue, mine needs to be restored though. Do you know where I can find a lock for it? Your gumball machine looks great!

Thanks Chevy59, the lock is no problem. You can use the same lock that is used for victor machines (I think it is 5/16" x 18 thread) I only have one or two of them myself right now or would just send you one but am working on a couple victors that I will be reselling and need the ones I have. I have been getting my victor locks through americancamlock on ebay. Typically I buy several at a time so I contact them and work out reduced price but if you are only looking for one lock here is the link to their ebay auction for this item: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Victor-Gumball-Vending-Machine-Lock-Key-/180986061586?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a239c2312

By the way I love your Chevy Biscayne! That is one of the very coolest cars I have ever seen. I have been looking at a 63 Biscayne a man has for sale here locally but by 63 they lost all the fins and style that make your 59 so cool.

Thanks for the info jamiedpt, i'm going to order one and then try and restore it myself. I looked at a 63 impala a few years ago, but it was in bad shape. I like that body style as well.

Chevy I just got back from seeing a completely restored fully stock 62 Impala....WOW! We spotted it in a garage while I was bringing my kids home and we stopped to ask about it. It is for sale....only $35,000! yikes He also has a Nash Metropolitan for sale, cute little car but odd

So how many pennies have your kids spent so far?!lol
    10. jamiedpt jamiedpt, 12 years ago
Gargoyle they have gone through alot of pennies. I keep a large old velvet tobacco tin can full of pennies for them to use. Between the double bubble gum in an oak acorn, the ford branded gum in our ford machine, the m and ms in an atlas master, peanuts and almonds in a double nugget machine, and now skittles in this one....whew, they go through them. I came downstairs the other day and there were 6 neighborhood kids in the basement with my daughter, LOL. They all got a treat.
