I work for a construction company and found this in the warehouse.
My boss thinks it's c. 1918. I'd love to know anything about and of course it's value... any ideas?

what you've got is a projection head, the most important part of a moving picture projector. it would be mounted on a lightweight stand along with a lamp housing - a large metal box that goes behind it that houses the light source, at the time this was made it would be two carbon arcs kept close together in a clamp so that they arced to produce an intense light, and any reflectors. the projector head dates from about 1925, not sure of value but you have helped me immensely as we have one in our collection im trying to identify and yours is the best pic ive found on the web so thank you! if you have any further questions please ask and i'll try to help.
