This type of carved glass is most commonly called Cameo Glass. It was made very popular in the use of lamps by Galle, Daum Nancy and others. If you Google these names, you will find similar glass with mostly matching glass bases. It is generally considered Art Nouveau in style. Kato was a sculptor that made lamps in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. If you go to Live Auctioneers, you may find similar such as this one that sold for $2,400 http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/7594455 or this one that sold for $650 http://www.liveauctioneers.com/item/6979098 or this one that sold for $1,700. It is a very nice lamp. Thank you for sharing it.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INFORMATION ON MY LAMP. THE ETCHING ON THE CAMEO LAMP MENTIONED IS SIMILAR TO THE ONE ON MY LAMP. TO BAD THERE IS NO SIGNATURE ON THE SHADE AS I HAVE TAKEN THE SHADE OFF AND SEARCHED BUT TO NO AVAIL.

THE SHADE OF THE LAMP IS DESIGNED IN THE INTAGLIO METHOD. IT HAS A SIGNATURE ON THE BUCK'S LEG OF G. KATO 4/14/18. HE DID NOT DO THE SHADE BUT HE OVERSAW THE DESIGN OF THE SHADE TO MATCH THE DEER ON THE BASE.
