I found this in my attic but don't know how old it is or if it is worth anything. Does anyone know who makes it, how old it is and what its value might be? It is 13" long, 6" wide, 5.25" high. On one side of it it has a sign that says "MAYPOLE SOAP" with 5 women on a bicycle built for five and under that it says "Dyes Blouses All Colours". The women are wearing clothing that appearsto be early 1900's.
    I appreciate your help.

One of the most fabulous things I've seen on this site. Detail is superb, even down to spokes, eng. details, fender supports & just everything. I more than just love it!
What other trinkets have you been holding out on us? Really want to know what our arm-chair experts say about this!
Damned, just drooled on the keyboard again.

Hi Blunderbuss2: Glad you enjoyed viewing it but do you know who made it, etc?
I have some G.I. Joes, Dragon Models G.I. Joe look alikes and Cotswold G.I. Joe look alikes, some dolls house miniature furniture and assorted older puzzle and board games with some other miscellaneous older dolls and porcelain figurines.
Do you think anyone would be interested in seeing any of this stuff?

I personally wouldn't have any interest at all in the other things you list.
The tri-wheeler is so well made that I find it hard to believe it was made as a one-of-a-kind item. There must be others out there & I want to know the history/background. People on CW surprise me all the time in their combined knowledge.

Thanks for your input. I am trying to find others online right now. If I do, will gladly let you know. I decided to us the Maypole Soap sign as a jump off after trying other searches using the tin toy motorcycle name.

What "tin toy motorcycle name"? You didn't include that in the post.

No name, just searching it as tin toy motorcycle. I wish I had a name to go by??

Looks modern made to me-- bright metallic paints (silver/ gold), no age to the red and black either and the "Maypole" sticker or glue also looks like modern printing.

      Decorator piece?
