The porcelain I have seen recently on Collector's Weekly has been amazing. This is certainly not in that league. This little musician is just a market find that has intrigued me for some time. The impressed Germany suggest pre-war but I know that all of these marks can be very dubious. But I think he is well modelled and nicely painted. He has the double crossed lines that identify him as Coburg Dresden.
If anyone else has some more information about the factory and these marks I would appreciate it!

I actually quite like that one, lovely colours. I'm confused with the Dresden thing though. Is Dresden a manufacturer or, like Stoke on Trent in England, there are lots of different companies who are or were based around Dresden in Germany? I see people listing things as Dresden, and others listing as another name then Dresden at the end. Very confusing.
Many thanks NITTYGRITTY !!!!!
