I found many things at the thrift this week. Kosta Boda snowball, Ultima Thule whiskey glass, some fun Deco Glass and these guys.
As I stated in an ealier post, I have been having a good time looking through a whole lot of junk to find Christmas treasures.
Drummer fella is what is called a spun head. This guy is probably from the 60s. Crafters really seem to like to use these in vintage wreathes and vignettes.
The very scary looking elves (did I hear the knife drawer open?!) are called "Knee Hugger Elves". Super popular and tough to find, especially the big ones (found three! same place) I would say they are from the early 60s. I assume that people like to scare the living daylights out of each other for Christmas.
Lastly you can see a set of four George Briard Christmas glasses. They are really stylized and fun.

Don't know if I will keep up the Christmas stuff posts, but I am learning something new, and think it is kind of interesting.

PS: Totally just realized my darling 8 year old spelled "lone" instead of "noel".
Those are Japanese from the 50s.

P.s., I love the little snow men and the little elves in the sled. : )

Mustang and miKKo, thank you. The snowmen are so messy they are adorable. All of these elves creep me out a bit. Half thinking of sending one to each of my siblings to scare them. Christmas Halloween combo!

I am so into Christmas ornaments these days. I found some on Thursday and now I can't stop looking for them. I'll have to pull some photos off my blog and post them here.

I love your finds! Congrats and keep on sharing! Am I missing the photo of the GB glasses? I have some GB but nothing in the Christmas line and would love to see yours!

To the left of all the ornaments...first photo. Which one is your blog? I read a ton of them.

Vintage Station...GB also has a couple of lines of coffee/coco mugs. He did some stuff for Marshall Fields.

Oh my, I guess I was distracted by the other shiny things in the photo, I missed the Georges Briard! They are wonderful!

BTW, I love what the 8 yo did to Noel! That way, you can leave them out all year round!

I'm afraid I'm one of those bloggers that doesn't post everyday! Maybe I shouldn't post all my finds at once and try for a vintage item a day! Anyway, I'm RunsWithScissors4.blogspot.com and I haven't done today's finds yet. Yes, I'm sitting in a hotel room on one of my vintage shopping spree weekends! Give me a few minutes and I'll do today's post.

Mani, eye4, brat and V thank you for the love. AND for your indulgence with my new obsession! I am finding other cool treasures but nothing you haven't seen or are post worthy.

We are still waiting for the monkey post! :o)

Just got back to the hotel and need to start with my photo taking, then I'll be posting to my blog and think I have a challenge for you! Stay tuned! This will take me a while!

Cool! I have learned a ton from this site as well. I cant believe how obsessed I am with digging through the Christmas stuff at the thrifts! I think I found myself a really good, really cheap thrift source. Fingers crossed

great collections - we have a code name for the Noel sets - we call them Leon's that way others are unaware we are looking for them. CUTE

      thanks for sharing

Funny Seamore! I will do the same. When my sister and I thrift/flea together we constantly speak in code. Makes our Mom crazy.
