Would appreciate any info on these. Parents bought at a flea market about 40 yrs ago. Note inside says "Fraternal Black Ball Set" with the name and number of the Carpenters Local Union in the area. Seem to be clay but not sure of the black ones. Much thanks!
"Blackballing is a rejection in a traditional form of secret ballot, where a white ball or ballot constitutes a vote in support and a black ball signifies opposition." Wikipedia Take a look at the Wiki page and you will see a typical wooden box used with a set like yours. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the info. Also trying to get some idea of when and/or where the marbles themselves where made. My guess is they're 50-60 yes old but not quite sure. Thanks again.
