trunkman

These do not come around that often -- so I was excited to see one listed in the local classifieds. As per usual I make a call as soon as possible and start out the door to go see it. It turned out to be a wonderful example of a Jenny Lind trunk at a great price. Jenny Lind was a famous opera singer that toured the US and she happened to be sporting this type of trunk on her travels. The name and the style caught on -- also known as a bread loaf-shaped trunk or keyhole style. There are still remnants of leather all over it. Finds like these are a great incentive to get up in the morning -- that and having to turn off my alarm clock -- but I digress. I will clean it up, shine it up and show the results. Thanks for looking...
Thank you all for the love. Peace.
