    Hi,
This is such a curious piece ~ pin/pendant.
When I bought it I didn't realize that the arrow on it's roulette-like wheel could spin,....but as I examined it I discovered that it did.
It was so puzzling that I had to have it.
    There aren't any markings,
    it looks gold plated
I thought it must be from some organization,...Fraternity or Sorority
    maybe it was an award?
It must represent / mean something.
I'd appreciate any help identifying this beautiful and curious pin.
    Thank You!

Happy centenary! By the by, is the arrow broken? Is there something missing?
I just tried googling: "arrow rotating" meaning. Interesting responses. What's skype?

      Hey Kev,
      I think it's complete, curious, isn't it?
the arrow pierces the rotating 'roulette' disc.
Thanks for the info on Pinchbeck,.......very interesting indeed!

      Hi Budek,
I have a pin that has some similar characteristics. The center of the one I have does not rotate, but the rest is pretty much the same. It is from a pre-WWI military academy. It is possible that the emphasis is on the arrow, not so much the rotation.

      Hello Sunnybrook,
Thanks for the great information, I have the pin before me on the desk where I work and pick it up from time to time, wondering what it is and what the design signifies. I'd love to see yours if you ever have a chance to post it.
Now that you've mentioned 'military academy' I can see it.
You're kind to take the time to write, I really appreciate it.
      Have a great week,
      Tony.

      Hi Budek,
I have to confess that there is one aspect that has left me curious. The pin makes sense. We have a link to the military cadet, and a wonderful photograph of him. I have been curious about the mount for a pendant. A cadet would always wear it as a pin. Anyone have idea?
