My early modern lamp has been a mystery for a few decades now. I always thought I'd see another, but have not. The top is possibly for a frosted glass piece. I found a metal piece that fits with ball finial to cover the top, as a sort-of-restoration. I've seen some Walter Van Nessen & Kem Weber lamps that relate to this style. The reveal line on the shade where light goes through is a sophisticated detail. I think [faint memory] I found it at the old Marin Flea Market...by the way I also found a 'Cobra' lamp at the same market!
Thanks
