Old planes are quite collectible and many are quite valuable. To get help with these, you'll need to look for markings/numbers/names on them. They are usually found on the metal parts. Photos of any markings and also photos showing the underneath and the other side will be of great use. Good luck in your research! :-)

I'd like to clarify that many of certain types/makers are quite valuable, not just 'many'.

If you throw in the crock pot and blender I'm sure you can name your price!LOL. Great to have three - lots of decor possibilities.

I love these old planes. I have one larger one and a smaller one. The large one I got at the local flea market here for $10. It had the blade but was missing the wedge. I couldn't find a wedge anywhere but then saw a seller in England on eBay that was selling a set of three different sizes. One of them was the size I needed, so I bid and won. Who'da thought I'd have to get a wedge from England. Mine has a stamp on the very front with the maker's name.

I have one listed here. Mine is a Stanley and the name and model number are stamped into the end of it. You might check there as well...

Wipe the square butt ends of the wood off and look for name there. I have a few and the names are found there. I have a book by Alvin Sellens called "Woodworking Planes, a descripive register of wooden planes" c.1978. I could research a specific maker if found.
