A continuation of the series. Please see Parts 1-3 for a description. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did when I first saw them. I do not have the time to catalog and describe each one. I will leave that work for you in the comments...sort of a class on Loetz identification.
In answer to some questions here. The owner of this collection is in negotiations with an entity that wants to build a Loetz Museum in Europe. His collection would be housed in its own wing. Lets hope that happens so these pieces, most of which are boxed and in storage, will see the light of day. These are literally, the tip of the iceberg.
Love THEM!
Yes! Give me another excuse to get back to Europe, please!
BTW - another example of the 3rd vase (heart motif) was up on the auction block yesterday at Mehlis Auktionhaus with a 1100 euro reserve. I suspect that well exceeded.
Any word on what country they want to build it in?
The country is not for publication at this time. As you can imagine, several interested parties are trying to get their hands on this collection.
The decoration on vase 4 is like that on my Loetz shade posted earlier with the help of Mr. T.
That's a museum that I will definitely put on my bucket list when it is built! Maybe the owner of these pieces can ask the museum to grant visitors permission to take photos like the PGM! That would be a double treat.
IDs: These are all very difficult, and are mostly "unknown" I believe. The 4th one however has been identified by one online auction house as PG 1/688. I have seen two similar listings. This is unconfirmed, so we need more help, anyone?
