    I am not sure exactly what it is, or who made, it but i think its a beautiful piece. My father recieved it from someone in the early 70's as a payment from a card game debt. After he passed it was left to me. If anyone can tell me anything about it I would appreciate it.

      It's a poster-paint souvenir item from either Tesuque or Jemez Pueblo, New Mexico (the only two pueblos that made this type of ware.) Jemez clay is generally pinkish, Tesuque clay is usually a buff color, so this is most likely Jemez. Since the paint is easily rubbed off, it is "decorative" only.
