Milano is such a nice and simple design! It really has that curvy feeling of the 1950s!

I am sure you already know mine and the creamer and sugarbowl set...

I admit that I didn't know the name of the designer. Can you tell a little bit about him (or her)?

That's a tough question, Cobalt. Sakari (which is the Finnish name for Zachary, so we're talking about a guy here) seems to be pretty unknown... Although he worked with them in the 50s, he seems to be from a pre-Nanny Still / pre-Helena Tynell Riihimáen era and I've been unable to find any information about him. Some of his designs can be seen for sale and I've seen several in an old Riihimäki catalogue from the 50s, but no info at all... :/

I'll look for some info about him in the Riihimäki Lasi book I've got at home... (whenever I go back there! LOL) but I seem to recall there's nothing about him, they talk about Tynell, Still, Aladin, Siiroinen and Okkolin... wish me luck! LOL
